2013 surveyor cloged black water dump line

This is our 2nd time camping and did realize that when hooked up to sewer you are Supposed to leave the black water valve closed until its full and then dump. Does anyone have any ideas on how to unclog the drain pipe? I though of a coat hanger down the toilet or a small plumbing snake? Any help/ideas would be great!

You will have to do it from the outlet, as there is little chance of finding the drain opening from the top. Yucky job, but a good lesson to not put so much toilet paper down the crapper. We don't put any in the tank at all, but put it in a small trash container in the corner beside the toilet.
Some lessons are easy, some not so much.

Thanks for all the help! I ended up buying a small drain snake from Ace hardware for $15 and put in down thought the toilet. Over all it took about 20 minutes. I also filled and drained the black water tank 3 times after the clog was cleared.
The tank seemed to be only about 6-8 inches deep and the drain pipe that goes to the dump gate was just to the back of the toilet hole almost a direct shot. Thanks again for all the replies.

My 2013 Surveyor Select came with a "Sewer Tank Flusher" already installed. Are you sure yours doesn't have one? It would typically be installed on the side of the trailer above the dump valves. It will look identical to your city water connection but should have the "Sewer Tank Flusher" sticker.

Whenever we're leaving a full service site I give it a good cleaning with a utility hose just before leaving.

Yes it has one. Mine is on the side where the doors are. Yeah I use it every time.

My sport has one as well. We flush while emptying and the close the black valve while the gray tank empties. This fills up the black tank for a good powerful flush.

I connect a flush king and drain the black tank first. I then close the gate valve and leave the valve to the black tank open. I then open the grey water tank and it backfills the black tank to half full with grey water. I then close the grey water valve, open the black water valve and open the gate valve on the flush king and drain the black tank again. The grey water has a little soap in it and I think it helps clean the black tank. When it is drained I close the valve and finish draining the grey tank.
