2F and the water system works just fine!

Two tiny degrees outside and the water system is working just fine! 2F = -17c

Yes we were using the artic pack switch, but the water pump would freeze. Sadly thinking we were not going to be able to continue to use water this trip and my sweet darling husband came up with the idea of removing the odd black plastic baffle that separates the front of the water compartment from the back where the pump and the canister water filter are located. Just enough more heat from the furnace circulating made all the difference.

I bought a wireless indoor outdoor thermometer at Walmart ($10) to keep track of the temp in that compartment as well as the overnight low temp outdoors.

We're now thinking that a bit of extra insulation in that compartment would provide some additional insurance but right now I'm pretty pleased.
