Add a 300 gallon water tank

I have a trailer on some hunting land that i use and we run out of water with the tank inside.I bought a 300 gallon tank and plan on mounting it on a small trailer that i can use the tractor to move. It will be higher then to fill hose on the trailer to fill when it goes empty. I would love to just connect it to city water on the trailer with a pump in the 300 gallon tank. But what is the best way to power the pump so it only turns on when the faucet is turn on? Or should i just remove the fill hose that's in the outside wall of the trailer and connect it to the 300 gallon tank so it flows into the holding tank in the trailer? Will I need to extend the air vent hose to be above the 300 gallon tank?

Purchase (or move the one in your camper) a ShurFlo on demand 12 volt water pump and install it between the 300 gallon tank and your city water connection.

If you have a winterizing valve intake at your water pump, perhaps you could connect to it and use the existing water pump depending on your configuration.

I have a extra pump I use to pump water out of a 55 gallon tank into the trailer tank. I been using the 4-wheeler battery to run the pump. If it has good pressure I will rig up some type of quick connect for power. I have bypass the pressure switch. I never tried the switch I bought it at a garage sale.

Well it worked. I wired the pump up and used the 12 volts from the front battery to power the pump so i did not have to go inside the camper to get power. Although my truck did not like carrying 250 gallon of a 330 gallon water tank 8 miles.
