Air in Water Filter

Our Sabre FW has a built in walter filter in the basement and I notice when ever we are using water from the fresh tank air collects in the filter.

This affects the time it takes for the pump to prime the first time and also increases the time for the system to pressurize between uses.

Air does not collect in the willter when hooked up to City water.

Is this typical? Do I have a problem??

Not bubbles. The water level in the filter actually will fall several inches.

In the spring when I get the fw out it seems I have the same issue but goes away soon after.
I go through and run each facet cold and hot.
And make sure Hw heater is purged at the relief valve .

You either still have air in the system, a leak in the system or the valve in the pump is leaking.

Uhmmm! We have pumped many many gallons of water through all fawcets except....the washer hookup which is probably full of air.

btw...no air collects in the filter when hooked up to city water!

That's because you have constant pressure. The pump does not supply constant pressure even when running.
