Antifreeze in HW Tank

Winterizing my 2007 Roo for the first time by myself.
Neglected to close the cutoff valve for the Water Heater untill after I added about half a gallon to the system.

Pulled the drain plug on the water heater and let the antifreeze drain out.

Not sure if there is a problem with having antifreeze in the water heater (other than it takes 6 gallons if you fill it).

Is there anything inside the hot water tank that can be damaged by the antifreeze?

Should I flush it now, or just remember to flush it along with the rest of the lines in the spring?

Thanks!

It won't hurt anything. My dad used to fill his every year until I hooked uop a by-pass for him. Just flush if out and you're good to go.

The owners manual says it will eat the anode rod up, or hurt it. I guess that is why some models have the bypass as a forced option.

Just looked "antifreeze is corosive to the anode rod and will cause premature failure or excessive build up". It also states that if used the anode should be removed and a plug used in its place.

Always left the anode rod out and open to air. Maybe it will help dry the WH out?
