I have a 2013 Chaparral 5th wheel. Today I pulled the front black tank handle to empty and it felt like the cable broke.

I got home and took apart the handle and saw that this is what was broken. I can operate and dump if I hold the cable and then pull the handle. It looks like this spiraled metal in the cable extends into the rod.

Does anyone know if I need the entire cable to repair or can this be fixed at the rod?

Thanks!
