Black tank flush

I have a black tank flush on my Surveyor sport. How long should I let the water run.

Buy a Clear section/elbow and place where you can (Watch) the results! Youroo!! This device is for the Discharge of (Black & Gray)!

Put a clear section (elbow or straight) on the discharge and let the flusher run until you see clear water, close the valve and let the water run for 30 secs and then shut the water off.

It really depends on how full it was before dumping. The biggest problem it tolit paper it sticks to the side. I have the clear tube as suggested. I have waited to get clear water, but decided to leave it going longer just to see maybe 20 minutes later I saw more TP and brown coming out. So now I learned to flush everytime, but once in awhile do it a little longer to get a good cleaning. I only suggest this at your site. Being at a dump station you would be holding up the line for people to use which would be rude IMO.

It can take upwards of 15 minutes of good pressure water to clear out the stubborn stuff (and there will be). That is why I do a RV-Digest-It soak treatment every end of season to get what the flusher misses.

We have one of the black tank rinsers as well. Just curious from a engineering viewpoint how this works? I hear it "spraying" when I turn it on, my mind's eye pictures this oversize lawn sprinkler mounted on the top of the black tank spinning and spraying water ....

This is what the Tornado looks like.
It wobbles and sprays from the tip and sides.
