Black water tank problems

Second trip with this new 2014 sandstorm toy hauler
only 3 night 2 adults in trailer the black tank was getting full but not by indicator light, but looking down the drain of toilet into the tank paper and water level was about floor level and light was only showing 1/3 full, so at the end of trip at home I would do some testing on why we had full tank? so ran water from flush valve on toilet and took less than a minute to be filling bowl and showing there was no more room in tank! then looking at indicator light again it showed only 2/3 full and not showing a full tank which on this model should be 40 gals. so drained tank and found out soilds was causing the problem in pipe dropping in to tank apparently the the bottom of pipe is only 3 inches from bottom of tank, so that means once tank level gets to bottom of drain pipe from toilet solids start to build up at this point.
So any ideas if this the way it was designed or is the drian pipe should be shorter that drops into the tank so allowing solids not to build up?

I'm new to this but you didn't make any mention of using chemicals which help break the waste and paper down. Just checking.

We always use tank chemicals. It breaks down the soil waste and paper. It also prevents odors in the heat of summer. Not using chemicals is probably causing the problem you are having. Also, don't depend on the tank level sensors. they are rarely accurate.

Take it back to the dealer like you said the pipe is too long, poor workmanship so the dealer needs to fix it, I'm sure it's not a hard job but why should you be doing a sh?.:y job like that when you have warranty.

Dont think chemials would work that fast? mostly once level gets to drop pipe from toilet it would be just anything comes from toilet any chemials put in tank would be blocked by level of tank

Most Members have issues with the (Vent pipe) falling to the bottom of the tanks, your Main soil pipe issue is not to common. Make sure Dealer removes (ALL) pieces of the Soil pipe they cut off. If left in tank it starts a whole (New) problem for You! Some time they leave (Drill Slugs) fall into the Tanks at the Factory, later to be found by the (UNHAPPY) owner! Youroo!!

It does sound like the down pipe is too long, it should only extend into the tank between 1/2-1" at most. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it but do your service tech a favor, dump it, fill it, rinse it, repeat then tow it there bone dry. They'll appreciate it.

Can you get down in there with a Dremel and a cut off disc? Of course after you clean it first...

Yeah, I don't blame you there.

My dealer is about an hour and a half away so I'll be doing the little fixes myself unfortunately. Wasn't sure how close yours was. But I hope it all gets fixed soon.

Really dont mind the trip, less than an hour away
Got new diesel jeep to pull it, now that diesel is cheaper than gas
Solo in jeep have gotten almost 30 MPG and on this last trip pulling trailer
I got 13.6 which is much better than my last jeep with HEMI got about 16 solo
and pulling trailer anywhere from 7 to 11 MPG
