Blk 1, blk 2 holding tanks and galley holding tanks question

I have a switch that says blk1 and blk 2. Does that mean I have 2 blk holding tanks? If so does one fill up then the other? Are they both the same size? Also, what is the galley holding tank, and the stroke in the lever is a lot less then the others is that normal? Thanks. It's on a 2010 Sandpiper 345Ret.

Many manufacturers use an generic control panel...one for all models, one of which must have a half washroom in the floorplan and hence, the second black tank. Looking at the second picture, I be surprised that the galley tank valve (for the kitchen sink) is fully closing...need to be investigated.

Mine is similar but only have 1 black tank which is for toilet AND bathroom sink (54 gallons). Galley is also 54 gallons and only kitchen sink drains. Then gray tank is 54 gallons for shower. You more than likely have same set up.

So the blk2 would be nothing? And I would have the grey1 and the grey2 opt? I thought maybe the grey had a smaller drain and that is why it had less stroke then the others. Is yours like that as well? Thanks

Yes. Black2 is for nothing. No will check the strike on mine and let you know later today. I would not worry if it's not leaking; separate tank for galley and grey.

The 1st pick shows the switch and there are two lights next to it bk1 and bk2 move your switch to bk2 and push the level button if bk 2 has no reading most likely only 1 bk tank.

How about using food coloring down one suspect drain at a time to see which is which?

Rodgers it's not going to show a level because it's empty. I was trying to avoid food coloring or other ways by asking people familiar with these trailers. Thanks though. I just bought the trailer so I don't know if it leaks. Was trying to work all the links out before using it. Thanks Ksignoles. Please let me k of on the stroke I'd hate to tear the bottom off for no reason.

I checked my stroke and although not the same as yours, does stick out a little more. Your galley and grey tank are separate and if worried about possible leak, pull the sewer cover off and run water. If it leaks, water will run out. I have attached a hose to mine at the house to check for leaks and final cleaning prior to winterize. I suspect you have nothing to worry about, but encourage you to do the above before pulling covers off the bottom. PM me if you have other questions about your trailer I could help you with.

I have a similar question. I have a 2015 forrest river 5th wheel. I know it has 2 grey tanks,1 black tank and 3 valves. same as my old TT. BUT, I this one has 2 sewer connections. 2 up front One has a grey handle and the other black. The third handle is in the rear of the trailer. Does this mean I have to drain the grey tanks separately then the black? And which one is black?

What model camper?? Back is most likely separate grey for kitchen sink depending on model

Not two sewer connections but rather two outlets - front one is for grey and black and rear one is likely galley or kitchen

Ok Thanks. I will figure it out. Its brand spanking new. The tanks "should" be empty, so I think I will just confirm by opening each valve, pour some water down and see where it comes out of.
