Cap for quick connect for water lines

For ease of connection I bought quick connect fittings for the city water and fresh water tank. Now I am thinking I need caps for these to keep somewhat sealed from outside contaminants. Anyone use quick connects? What do you use to cover them?

I went through my Misc Parts bins and found some rubber caps that came off of coax, Copper tubing, and other things. Found several that fit the male portion of the quick connect.

On the female part, I took another male and screwed a cap on it. Then inserted the one with the cap when not using it.

Used some large caps made for vacuum lines for cars...worked great.
