check valve ?

The fresh water tank In my Crusader 295 is filling up when I have the city water connected. Could a check valve be causing this problem , if so were can I find it? Has anyone else had this problem ?
Thanks for your help

Has it done this before now?

Do you have a separate connection for the tank or is it one for both city and tank with a valve that needs to be turned?

There's a valve between the pump intake and the pump that might be open allowing water to back flow into the tank. It's in the basement behind a panel on the street side.

Have you tried to run the water pump yet?

x2 On the fresh water tank water pump. You may have to take it apart and look for something really small keeping the check valve slightly open. Run the pump first to try to dislodge it.

If you have the outside antifreeze connection, then the check valve will be between the FW tank and the Tee where the AF connection comes in.

Most likely your water pump internal check valve is allowing water to flow back to your fresh water tank. Start your water pump and let run a few minutes to hopefully clearing any debris in check valve assembly. Try your city water again after. If still leaking, then you will probably have to remove water pump to fix.

Hey guys I end up fixing two out of three check valves this weekend camping. They are easy. When they turn on the pump the water was coming out of the city water. So what I did was take a part the newer ones which is plastic there is a wing on it push will hard it will come apart. Then there is a spring a stem and a o ring the o ring come off put it back on then we had no more problems. The third one was a older camper MH it was was metal so we put a heavy o ring in it to push the valve in and it work but he has to buy another one
