City water connection

Why is my fresh water holding tank filling up when the hose is connected to the city water connection?

Check valve in water pump is stuck open. There is a way to reset it without pulling apart. Search for water pump check valve and you will find lots to read.

OK now, disconnect from City water and turn on your Water pump! Open any tap and then close it,let the pump build pressure to shut itself off! This should Reset the Check valve in your water pump! Turn off pump" Before" you hook back up to City water make sure you have a "Pressure Reducer" on your incoming water line, set at about "40-50 PSI"! Youroo!! The reason for Info is lots or RVs now have Valves that must be turned for different reasons in the F/W system!

What works for me When that happens. I would always open a water faucet when hooking up the city water and water would almost always come out the fresh tank drain. What I did was keep all faucets closed and hook up water and turn it on. Hasn't done it since.

Good luck
