city water inlet dripping when using pump
When I use our fresh water tank water drips from the city water inlet is there a check valve or some other valve not working properly.

There is a check valve just inside the filter screen on my city water inlet. When winterizing I always pull the filter screen and press in on the check valve to let a little antifreeze came out of the city inlet so no water is left in that section of line.
I suspect you may have something stuck in the valve (or valve seat) that is allowing it to leak when the pump pressures up the water system. I'd try removing the filter screen and push in on the check valve and let some water escape...maybe it will dislodge whatever is there. If that doesn't solve the problem...you may have to look into replacing the check valve.
Best wishes,

After rooting around looking for a new fresh water leak, I've found the same problem as the original poster. I was thinking of the same temporary fix as youroo, but have a new fixture on order just in case. The point about winterizing is a good one, Lefty59. I've only winterized this RV once, and it's very likely that section of hose froze up. I park on an inclined driveway, and even after blowing out the lines with air and then packing them with RV antifreeze I bet that fitting was full of water.
Good thing was the leak is on the outside and not soaking plywood or carpeting.

Remove the screen and, with the pump running, "jiggle" the check valve stem (if you have this type) to see if you can get it to re-seat.
They are inexpensive and easy to change if it is bad.

I'll give that a try, but I think the valve will get a chance to reseat the next time I fill up for a trip anyway.

After tweaking the check valve a few times (no bath) and then filling the fresh water tanks through the valve too, it just won't seat properly. It must have some frost damage or something. I'll just put my new one in when it arrives.
I was somewhat surprised to see mostly plastic construction of the check valve after removing the screen. Well, maybe brass would be too expensive for OEM construction (where's the sarcasm font?).

"Winterizing"? What the heck is "winterizing"? I don't think we do that down here in S. Ga. But then I do remember one day last winter it did get below 40. Just one.
