Clear Elbow - Why?

So this is how stoopid I am. I put "Camco 45 degree clear elbow" on my RV needs list, and now I cannot remember why this was once a NEEDTOHAVE item.

Can someone tell me why they have a 45 degree clear elbow on their poop chute?

Thanks!

So you can see when the water clears up, meaning you got a good flush and tanks are hopefully clean.

Simple - So you can see what's going on (or through)!

Remember to dump the black tank before the grey. The grey will "rinse" the black out of the sewer hose somewhat. When you see flow stop in the elbow, you can close the valve and you're done.

I put mine on and drilled holes in the flange and sheet metal screwed in on semi-permanently and leave it on and put the cap on it so I DO NOT get any surprises when I take the cap off and it lets you see when and what is going on in the slinky.

One surprise a lifetime is more than enough! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!

It's the poop show! My daughter is a kid collector when we're out and about. I make sure all of the guest kids get an invite to the poop show when it is time to dump the tanks. How else would I entertain kids that aren't mine?
