Clog in fresh water system

I drained and cleaned my hot water tank and a bunch of calcium or some other flaky white crud came out. When I reconnected to "city water" and tried to run the kitchen faucet some of it must have still been in the system and clogged up the aerator. I took it off and cleaned it but am still only getting a trickle. All the other faucets and toilet work fine. any ideas where the clog might be?

There is another screen at the input to the faucet that is also clogged.

most likely the faucet valves are plugged

faucet screens- take the faucet completely apart- seen it many times- comes from factory clogged sometimes

I have removed the faucet screens till was convinced all debris was flushed out of lines, and.system.

When you drain hw tank use flush wand to clean the crud out. Helps a lot

So exactly what is that white crud in the tank?

I believe a combo of calcium of some sort and residue from the spent anode material

Plastic?

When the holes for fittings are cut in the tank/s it is not cleaned out.

So it gets in water lines. filters and your wallet.

I had the white crud after the first, second, and third season. Only used the fresh water tank for a couple of flushes now and then on the road. Never ran it through the water heater so don't think that it is plastic, in mine anyway. I think of the crud as 'fall out' but in reality I think it is minerals that get excised from the water by the heating element and how hot it gets. It's the same as the crud that develops in your home water heater. You are suppose to drain your water heater at home yearly to get rid of this stuff.


NOTE: Just read up on several other RV forums and "Crud" is the official name for it. Also the crud is minerals from the heat of the heating element and some recommend not leaving the element turned on all the time. For me , I'll just leave it on and flush my water heater tank.

My toilet flush stopped..Took valve apart and it was packed solid with "Crud" at screen....That is the cold water line......Explain that?????
