Corner Shower.. water on the floor.

I hooked water up to my new2me 2010 WILDWOOD 22RB today... Ran the water for several minutes and inspected under all cabinets.. every accessible area, flushed the toilet several times,..etc. everything looked good,.. no leaks.

However.. I did find a small pool of water on the bathroom floor, in front of the shower. I turned all the water off.. cleaned and dried the floor. turned the water on, in the bathroom sink and inspected under the vanity cabinet.. all dry.. no sign of leaking hoses or pipes. I even took the panel off of the shower floor pan and inspected with dry hands and a flashlight.. no water, no dampness.

I turned on the shower.. and almost immediately saw the water start to accumulate on the floor. It seems that when water drips down onto the edge of the shower floor pan.. on the side where the shower head and faucets are located,, its running off into the floor. I was able to completely pull the shower curtain around and cover the faucets.. and fix the problem.

But.. it isn't practical to have the shower curtain pulled that far around. Has anyone (with a corner stand up shower)experienced a similar problem? I am trying to think of a way to keep the water off the top edge of the shower floor pan. Any ideas?

my shower in my 2306 did the same thing - the dealer put a bead of Silicone angled from the wall edge to the inside so that the water would not puddle on the floor

Also is your trailer level when doing this or is it leaning a little to one side?

interesting.. might be off a little. Its in my camper drive way.. I built it pretty level (right to left).. but probably not perfect.

I am no expert on this but from experiance especially with the A/C drip off the roof - I usually have to angle my camper a little so the drip is to the back and not the front so as I do not get wet when I go into my front hatches which maybe diffrent for you then me since I am in a Mini Lite 2306

Another thing I do is put a towel on the floor so if there is any water from the shower the towel soaks it up instead of the floor

just for giggles - check to see how level the trailer is - if the level is off I bet the water wants to puddle that way or you may need to put a bead of silicone similar to the tub corner guards you find in a house

many owners install shower guards that are available at HD and Lowes.
just Google shower guards. they make a long one and a short one.

I have the same problem unless I place the shampoo bottle on top of the bottom of the shower curtain to keep it flat against the edge/frame. I can't explain it so maybe I need to post a pic myself. LOL

I started moving my bath mat away from the shower just a little so it would stay dryer. Agree that a towel work well too.

Thought about the shower wall guards but just wouldn't look right in my trailer. However, I won't rule them out completely just yet.

Here is how I solved that problem, using clear silicone I glued a triangle I made of Lexan.

Works well - no water anymore.

That looks sharp! I have to say that it looks a lot different than I expected - thanks for the pic!! OK, I'm interested in considering this but what is Lexan and where would I find it?

Lexan can be purchased at your local hardware store.
