couple of issues

Ok just started getting the rig ready for our first campout of the year and found a couple of issues.

first, my water pressure gauge is reading 10 psi with nothing connected. Does just the gauge need to be replace or would the whole regulator be shot. It is only a little over a year old.

Second, I flushed my water system and got the hot water heater and pulled the plug and flushed it. My anode looked great however I had some purplish type fragments come out. What could this be?
