Sure glad I don't camp in any cg that require the use of dump stations. We stay in clean camp grounds with full hookups and no poo on the ground.

That's the best way. But I have seen toilet residue on the ground around the hookups. Never know what the last guy did, or didn't do there. And our sewer, water, power and cable cords and hoses have to lay there. Yuck!

The guy reaches down, pulls his black tank valve and spews blue liquid w/chucks all over the dump drain as he holds it open with his foot. He then reaches down and dumps his grey tank!

I was really miffed to say the least so I of course had to go tell him "hey, they make sewer hoses every day"! He proceeds to tell me that this is not an issue because they "don't use their toilet"! So I have to ask...."if you don't use your toilet...where is the blue water coming from?" He does't really answer other than to repeat that they don't use the toilet!

I have to fall back to the old adage....You Can't Fix Stupid!

Where your gloves....this guy may be dumping his tanks before you do!
Holy crap (no pun intended) but I had to read this twice. I can't imagine pulling up beside the sewer drain and just pulling the black handle. What a mess!
I make dumping sorta fun with a clear elbow and get watch the color of the fluids (and you really know when the black tank has been thoroughly flushed). Greatest addon part I've bought. I do wear black rubber gloves.

I've seen dump stations like that in our travels over the years, but I sure haven't used them or stayed in cg like that. We have on one or two occasions paid for a site and drove by the dump station and seen what you described even tho we had a fhu site and went back and got a refund and left. Guess we're a little picky.

nope, cause i don't have any issues with the process.
i do wash up with soap and water after i'm done and before i get back in the truck.
i'm a firefighter/EMT and have to wear gloves all the time, because of stuff much scarier than a little poop water.
