Dual grey tanks

We just bought a Wildcat 327ck, which has a 100 gallon grey tank! I thought this was great until I found out that it's actually a 50 gallon galley and 50 gallon bathroom. Even with Navy showers, a family of 4 can only go about 4 days with the bathroom at 50 gallons.

Has anyone installed a transfer pump between the grey tanks? Our galley is only about 1/3 full even after a week of washing dishes. All the girls have been washing their long hair in the kitchen sink, but that's a pain and makes a mess.

Any ideas or pictures on installing a transfer pump between grey tanks?

I use a Valterra F02-4350 Black 'Flush King' Reverse RV Flush Valve

Keep both galley and grey valves open. Water levels will equalize in both tanks. Use flush king valve to dump both tanks. If you need to dump black close the two valves and dump as you normally would.

That's what I did on my last TT grcooper. On my present TT the two gray tanks are plumbed together.

The Rockwood TT we are getting has two grey tanks as well. How would I know if they were plumbed together? I'm guessing since that wasn't a feature stated, the tanks are completely separate.

If you have one dump hose the system I described should work.

Being it is a Rockwood, my guess is they are seperate. When you go look at the RV, take a look under where the plumbing is. To the left I will bet you have a sewer connection and a black AND grey pull handle - that is your black & bathroom gray tanks. To the Right, you will have another sewer connection and one grey handle. That is your galley grey tank.

OldCoot had plumbed his 2 grey tanks together but I do not know if he equalizes - I would suspect installing the Valterra F02-4350 Black 'Flush King' Reverse RV Flush Valve would equalize the two tanks.

So happens I have a brand new Valterra for sale if you are interested in doing this mod - I can bring it to Goshen if you are attending

No need to modify...I have 2 gray tanks..I actually love it...great for short stays..for full hook up all you need is an extra piece of hose..a female to female converter for your hose..replace galley cap with one that has a hose connection..connect hose to elbow that goes into sewer Click image for larger version

My Flagstaff 30WTBSK also has a separate Galley Tank and it never fills even when the graywater tank is full. There is nothing in the owners book about it and I don't remember anything said by the dealer in our walk through. Yes, we have an external sink but it seems odd to have a whole tank for that, and at this point we have not used it.
