Your toilet is completely full? Sorry, but I have to ask - did you flush the toilet?

Hmmmm..... I have no idea where your controls are. They are probably at the rear where you attach the sewer hose or in a panel on that side of the rig.

Once you locate them, follow the instructions above. Is this a new rig to you?

You don't say what's full, black tank or grey tank. Grey tanks typically fill much faster than black tanks, so I'm guessing it's the grey tank that's full. BUT: Be aware that the level indicator lights are notoriously lousy and are not to be trusted. A good indication of an over-full grey tank is water backing up into the shower.

If your rig is a Cardinal fifth wheel, I found this pic on line:

The 2 handles on the lower right are for the black tank drain and the grey tank drain (black handle for black tank, grey handle for grey tank). You need to open these.

You can drain the grey tank anytime. But typically when you need to drain the black tank, you open the black tank valve by pulling the black handle and letting it drain it first. Then you drain the grey tank by pulling the grey handle, which helps to flush the sewer hose of the "crap" from the black tank. So it's good to have a fair amount of grey water in the grey tank prior to needing to dump the black tank. Push each handle back in to close it's valve after you drain each tank.

Of course, you need to make sure you have a sewer hose hooked up between the campground sewer connection or dump station and the sewer drain on your Cardinal.

It's a good idea to get a clear connector for between your sewer hose and your Cardinals sewer connection so you can see what's coming out and know when it's done draining. Here's a typical one. They come in straight, 45 deg and 90 deg. This is a 45 deg one.

If you're in a campground, you may want to ask a neighbor to help you out.

Re-reading your post, if the toilet is full, that sounds like it's not flushing into the black tank. Not sure what to tell you regarding that without more information.

Did you ask any questions when you purchased the trailer.

If you have never done this before go to you tube and search their videos. Do you have a sewer hose ?? Are you in a campground with full hookups?? Do not dump the waste onto the ground.

The sensors almost never work correctly so as you have found out you can not go by them

We need a little more information from you as to what is going on.

Where are you located? Perhaps a member near you can help.

Forest River has a video library at this link

http://www.forestriverinc.com/Videos/

The emptying holding tanks and/or wastewater videos may help.

Ask your camping neighbor for help.
We have all have various problems while camping and have asked for, or given, help when needed.
The "camping family" is more than glad to help whenever we can so you enjoy the camping experience as much as we do.
