Faucet help

We have a 2019 Forest River Cruise Lite, BXL. Sentiment had built up in the kitchen faucet. My husband didn’t have the right tool key to take off the areator. So, it came off in plastic pieces. I contacted FR and they said I need the whole faucet. It cost $125.00. It does not have a threaded areator but fits inside the end of the spicket. any ideas or thoughts on not having to replace the whole faucet? Thank you

The best thing to do is go to your favorite home supply or plumbing store and get a residential faucet. It's much better constructed and you can upgrade to pull down sprayer, etc. if you want.

Those faucets are pretty easy to change.

You didn't specify if this was warranty, or not. If it is you'll have to play by FR's rules in order to get a replacement. Keep in mind that you'll get the same cheap faucet as a replacement. One of the first thing we did with out TT was replace the faucets with residential type faucets from Home Depot.

X3 There are much nicer and better quality faucets at the big box stores for less (usually).

Just be aware that the new faucet connections may differ from your RV plumbing so, a couple plumbing adapters may be needed. I needed 2 adapters when I changed out my bathroom sink faucet. But, don't fret, they are readily available in the plumbing isle.

Take old one out first and bring it with you to match up.

Faucet help

Thank you everyone. We are on the same page. First no it’s not under warranty. My thought was also take out the old one, take to the hardware store to make sure we get the same length fittings and hoses. Sounds like a plan.
