Quit it! Do you have surveillance video of me?

That way the hose has nothing but filtered water in it. (may be helpful for storage)

Also, maybe slightly off topic but you mentioned hooking another hose to the wye with a sprayer attachment. Make sure you have campground permission for whatever you decide to do with that hose. Many do not allow additional hoses that would promote washing the camper or vehicles at the campsite. Just a word of caution.
No campground has ever said anything about the 2nd hose to us, if they did I would tell them "That's the fire hose for the campfire, I will put it away if you insist, but bring me a shovel and fire extinguisher to keep by the fire." It stays under the trailer on the campfire side and is not used for water fights. That's what the supersoakers are for. Have washed down the dog as it is better than the wimpy outside shower they put in these things. Got do do something about that sometime soon. Oh no, I feel a mod coming on.

I guess we are a little different, I attach the regulator to the faucet first.

We have been in a couple of campgrounds over the years with high pressure and we bulged a hose, luckily it hadn't ruptured yet.

I have knocked on one motorhome door and let them know the had a fountain next to them.

Starting at the faucet, here's my connection order:

Y adapter
pressure regulator
water filter
drinking hose
90 degree elbow
camper

Good I like that order. Seems to be the popular vote.

I do not use the built in black tank rinse. It does a lousy job. I use one of these instead.

Our camper has a built in rinse but it does a lousy job to say the least.

Good advice on lysol spray. I use the wipes and wipe the entire faucet off because some people bring their black water hose right over to the water spigot and rinse the hose down. UGH!!! All that fecal matter back splashing on the spigot.

This year I saw a guy using nare hands working with the black hose and then disconnect his potable water hose. Then he went and turned the faucet on to wash his hands. I told the nect guy about it so he wouldn't get dick and all he did was dplash a little water on the faucet.

My surveillance video comment referred to my leaving good equipment at camp sites, not being careless with germs/fecal matter.
