Flagstaff 19FBS Winterization Question
I just purchased a 2018 Flagstaff EPRO 19FBS. How do I winterize? I can't find any bypass valve for the hot water heater. I also cannot find the water filter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There should be a drain plug on the bottom of your hot water tank. It's often plastic so take care not to strip the threads.

Yes I know how to drain the HW tank. My problem is that I want to winterize with anitifreeze. I cannot find any bypass for the HW heater.

Look in your front driver side compartment if there is access panel to side of water heater. If not there then look under your bed mattress for access panel.

Typically you need to get behind the water heater. Look for a panel, door, drawer that's in the general vicinity of the rear of the water heater.
Are hou sure your unit comes with a water filter? It seems to me that a water filter isn't necessarily a standard component.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, already tried both of those. I've searched all over the camper and can find no access.

No compartments of any kind. The dealer told me when I picked it up that they didn't put the water filter cartridge in, although they gave me the filter cartridge to install. I called dealer and they couldn't give me an answer to either question.

Have you taken the grill out below the bed?

I'm talking about the grill under bed as shown in this video....I don't know what it is, but valves could be behind.

There should be access through the pass through compartment on the front driver side or under the bed. If it under the bed, it could be accessed from under the mattress or a panel on the side. Sharing some pics of those areas would help.

We're trying to help you out, but you have such a new model, as with the Geo-Pro, it may be hard.
Looking at pix and your floor plan, the water heater may be under the mattress.
When it comes to the water filter, the Class A's and higher end 5er's have an "attached" water filter. For the smaller TTs, a water filter is external that hooks to the hose. What they gave you, does it look like this: TastePURE KDF/Carbon Water Filter - Camco 40043 - Water Filtration - Camping World
I see you are in northern PA and just purchased. Did the dealer let the trailer sit all winter long and not winterize? Maybe they just blew out with air and not use anti-freeze. A lot of unknowns. Perhaps a call to Flagstaff on how to access the water heater tank and by-pass valves.
BTW... will be in your neck of the woods in May to bring my daughter home from college for the summer.
May you have many long and wonderful years with your new travel trailer!
Safe and happy travels.

Thanks I found it. I had to extend the slide. The access is behind the grill. With the slide retracted there was no access to it.

EPRO19fbs - We bought an E19FBS three weeks ago. I noticed the baskets - are you planning on doing the youtube mod I saw where the geo pro guy mounted them under the sofa for storage?

Not necessarily, our Flagstaff TT had an onboard filter, and it is by no means a “Higher End” trailer. I think the higher end ones just have the attached filters in a nice wet bay that’s easily accessed, where as the lower end ones would have the filter tucked away. Ours is under one of the rear bunks by the water pump and hot water tank:

No, that was a mod I had done to make winterization easier. Just happened to be the picture I had on hand.
