Unhappy Flood new 1905 Rockwood

So... we just left our campsite from our "maiden voyage" in our BRAND NEW camper-luckily close to home. We were having a good night with company when i needed to go inside-as I walked in I saw our mats were saturated and then I saw our whole camper floor had water on it. I called my husband in and he found the bathroom sink was overflowing. The sink plug was in place and the faucet was slightly left on. We did have company who had just left but I do not believe they would leave the sink on-is there a chance there was a malfunction on a valve -we had a H2O pressure regulator in place too-has anyone else had a similar problem? I am now home doing laundry and we have fans inside the camper-even the murphy bed mattress ended up being damp d/t wicking from the floor. We are so upset-can anyone shed light on this-again, I do not believe our guest left the faucet on. Thank you

The same can happen if you don't turn off the faucet and the gray tank fills, flood! Hide the stopper,it is Not needed for washing hands. If you find a paper towel, toilet paper,or other item in the drain after (Company) uses your trailer, dont invite them agin! Youroo!!

We have similar TT the ETC-181 and have had similar flooding. Once the DW left the shower faucets still turned on but shower head off. Eventually the head leaked which resulted in filling and overflowing bath. Noticed water dripping from end of TT on returning from tour (no wicking onto murphy bed thankfully). Mopped it all out. You might want to ensure the pump is only turned on when you require water as safe guard.

I believe you were using city water so pump caution doesn't apply. Using water regulator certainly helps but checking faucets is only help I can add. Hope you have trailer dried out and ready for next trip.

Unfortunaley yes, I flooded a trailer years ago by a back flush problem with the black water. horrible
I had the black water valve closed and left a hose hooked up to the black water flush inlet. There was a water splitter involved that failed and let water contiue to flow into the black water tank.
Lucky we were outside the trailer when we saw water draining out of the trailer. Of course by then the damage was done.

After we cleaned the trailer, we called insurance and they said we need to have the trailer cleaned and dried out by a professional company.

We pulled all carpet, and the company placed dryers in the trailer for several days, just like they do a house or comercial building that has flooded. The black mold scare.

We then had a Rv repair company install new trim and laminated wood floor. This little blunder cost my insurance company over $5000.
