fresh water

My 2015 heritage glen fresh water fill is not something I am impressed with. You have to screw the end of the garden hose onto fill spot and wait for water to run out of over fill on bottom. That's fine, but traveling to destination it seems 5 to 8 gallons of water rolls around In tank and goes out overflow. The overflow lines for some reason are tucked in behind wheels which makes them hard to get at. If they were abit handier I would put shut off valves them while traveling down road. Can anyone relate to this? Theres a lot of things I like about this camper, but one would think by now they could make the perfect camper by just using some logic...

I would not put shut off valves in a vent line. It will cause pressure build ups that can cause issues given the light construction of the tank and piping.

The ideal would be to extend the vent/overflow lines higher. The difficulty of placing them higher is why FR didn't do it.

Make it longer and put in a loop. Do it to vent rear diffs. cant see why it would not work here.

Syphoning Effect.

Logic dictates that you NOT overfill the tank.

With the water pump and water off open a faucet to break the vacuum.

When water stops coming out of the overflow close the faucet.
