Fresh water fill on opposite side. Why?

Does anyone know if there's a reason for the fresh water tank fill to be located on the opposite side of the camper? I don't get it.

Because it was faster or cheaper to build it that way...

Which side is opposite? I didn't know that there was a standard side.

I can only assume the op means that it is not on the same side as the city water hookup.

And as others stated that is likely the cheapest and easiest way to get a hose to the tank. Maybe there is a furnace or fridge or something on the other side between the tank and the exterior wall.

Yes other side from all the other water related hookups. And my furnace and fridge are on the same side as the fresh water fill. So I guess it was a "path of least resistance thing" when assembling my unit. Just a tad but inconvenient to have to throw a hose under the camper to get to it.

My FW fill is also on the opposite side. Since all the hookup stuff is on the other side, it's really no big deal to me.

Just a thought maybe it was put on the curb side for filling so you are not standing in traffic?? Many fill their fresh water tank while at home parked at the curb on the street.

I'm sure that's got to be it, he said with a wink.
