Fresh water tank collapsed when filling

I have a Rockwood HW256 2006 model. Just bought it used and was following instructions to fill the potable fresh water tank when it cracked under the weight and collapsed. How do I get a new one and what else should I replace while under there? Any tips would be appreciated.
The attached picture tells the story :-)

Sorry to hear of your problems. Be glad that it was the fresh water tank and not the grey or even worth the black water tank. Someone will chime in regarding a replacement for the ripped tank. I would recommend to fill both the grey and black water tank with fresh water to find out their condition. Better to do it with fresh water than to find out if they are breaking with grey or black water in them.

Thanks for the sympathy! I also found some markings on the tank where the pump line connects. It appears to say "w1311-A" another line that says 4-08 and finally CRF110.

Was your underbelly covered when you bought it?

Did it hold water previously or did it leak immediately when you tried to fill it?

It looks like it could have been impact damage. Herd to believe it would fail at the top of the tank like that...

I would call a Rockwood dealer and get the part number and a price. Some dealers have very good pricing on parts.
If you want to shop for yourself, get accurate measurements of the tank and simply "Google" RV fresh water tank.
A custom tank may have to be built if you want to keep the stepped down section.

When I tested the RV before I bought it used we ran water through everything, but only with the garden hose attached. I am going to be dry camping so I also need the tank to work. My fault for not filling it before buying. I think you are right about the impact damage as the owner stated the tire once shreaded and did some damage which was fixed.

Tank has these numbers "W1311-A" CR #10 and 4-08.

The check valve in the water pump would have prevented hose water from entering the tank. The only way to have found it was to fill the fresh tank to the top of the tank.

I hope the 4-08 isn't a date code otherwise it's been replaced already once

Thanks for the tip! The manual says 20 gallon, but I see the SKU# matches.
Will investigate and post the results.
