Fresh Water Tank Drain Replacement

Greetings All!
It's been a while since I've had a chance to visit here. Need help with replacing the fresh water tank drain.
The plastic drain itself has dry rotted and broken off. I bought a new one and when I went to thread it in, found that the recepticle or fitting that it threads into is also cracked and dry rotted. There is a flange that is part of this fitting so it looks like I'll have to drop the holding tank and replace this also? I'm assuming this is a two piece part that threads together one from inside the tank, one from the outside? What is the name for this part?
While I'm at it and have the tank down I guess I'll replace the Incoming fittings as well.
Any tips or pointers before I tackle this thing? Anything else to do while I'm there?
Thanks in advance!
