Fresh water Tank filling up when turn on Water Heater

I know this sounds crazy....
We have had our 2018 Cherokee 274DBH for almost two years now and haven’t had an issue before.
When I turn my water heater on from the inside control panel, it starts filling up our fresh water tank for some reason.
Anyone know what’s going on?? 🤷*♀️

Not really, it's pretty impossible for that to happen just from turning on the heater. Are you running off the pump or city water? If your on city water you pump could be letting the city water pass and filling your tank. Try to clear the pump, shut off the city water, cycle the pump by opening a faucet. Then shut the pump off and turn the city water back on.

Close your city water off, then turn your water heater on, does it drain the H/W tank? I just do not see how it can drain the tank, it is not pressurized. If it is still doing it open your fresh water fill, in case there is a vacuum. I have never ever heard of this kinda of problem, and your water pump is off correct?

Does it do it in both modes propane and electric? How do you know it is doing that?

If you have the shower mizer installed, it will divert water from the hot water faucet in the shower into the fresh water tank until you turn the diverter to allow it to flow to the shower head. Mine came from factory with one, to save your water until it gets hot enough to shower with.

Haven’t tried to see if it is doing it in both modes. I’ll try that when we get back to the Camper.
