Fresh Water tank leaking at threads to drain hose

Does anyone know what type of sealant to use for the threads at the bottom of the tank where a plastic threaded fitting goes? I have a small leak there and it appears that the threads are damaged and stripped which don't allow me to tighten down the fitting. I'm hoping a sealant will seal the threads. Any suggestions would surely be appreciated.

I've got a leak as well. I'm not too sure if it's right at the end cap or up higher and is running down to the end cap. I'll probably try to get a closer look this weekend. If it's at the end cap, I'll replace it and put a valve on there. I've got a Cherokee Grey Wolf.

Mine is more of a drip then a leak. Drips every second or two. The picture shows the moment that its about to drip
