Fresh water tank not filling

I have Sabre 291bhts and the fresh water tank is not accepting the anti-freeze. I have owned this unit for several years and winterized every year with the same process of adding the pink stuff through the fresh water fill but for some reason this year it seems that all the anti-freeze is staying trapped in the full line and not making it to the fresh water tank. Any suggestions on what may be causing this?

Not sure why you'd want to even use the fw tank?
Install a winterizing kit .
You'll use way less antifreeze and faster.

I installed my winterizing kit on my Sabre in less then 30 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. I have purchased one and will install. My concern is that when its time to fill the fresh water tank with water for camping, the tank won't fill. Any suggestions on why the tank won't fill?

Have you tried to put water in it?
How many gallons is it?
Gravity feed or pressure fed?
How many gallons or antifreeze did you use?
Did you run the pump and put some A/F in the water heater?

The tank is a 47 gallon gravity fill. I filled the tank in August for some boondocking at the Bristol race and it filled and worked fine. I drained water heater and bypassed it during winterizing process in October but the tank would not fill, even after adding about 3-4 gallons of anti-freeze.

Positive! I opened the fresh water drain on the bottom and hardly any fluid drained from tank. I also inserted clear tubing down the fill line and when I removed the clear tubing from the fill line, it had anti- freeze on the clear tubing. Maybe I have a kink in the fill line but with the covered underbelly it's hard to see if that is the case. The camper is in storage about 30 minutes away. I may just wait until spring to remove underbelly and investigate further.

Did you try to stick a wire up the fw drain tube?

I have not. Is there a check valve that would keep the fw tank from filling? I did apply air pressure to the screen above the fill access to be sure there wasn't a blockage there.

If there is a "droop" in the vent line, you will have an air lock and it will not allow water to be added. If you can, blow through the vent line to see if it is clear or you hear any gurgling. Mine had air locks in both fill and vent lines. Had to remove the belly cover to fix both lines.

Shouldn't be a check valve in the fw fill or vent.

It seems that I will need to remove the underbelly also to figure this one out. I only boondock a few times a year so it's not a major issue but I just want it available when I need it. Thanks for all of yalls replies. Much appreciated.

You have water in your vent line. Just blow the vent line back into the tank.
