fresh water tank over flowing

I have a new 2011 Flagstaff 233S when I connect the fresh water hose to the camper the fresh water holding tank fills and begins to overflow at the fill cap. Is there a way to isolate the fresh water holding tank so it does not fill when using a hose connection?

Find your electric pump and there should be a ball valve in the line leading to your holding tank close by. You may want to drain the water tank if your use it.

The check valve you are looking for is internal to the water pump and not a seperate unit. You must get an overhaul kit or replace the pump.

This one doesn't happen very often! Usually the city water check valve sticks doing this in reverse ............. spitting water out city line when using fw pump.
So that check valve herk is in the pump huh?

Why would he get a overhaul kit or replace the pump? It is (NEW) let the Dealer replace the pump. Youroo!

Point well taken. It could also have been a poor winterizing job and pure water could have been trapped in the pump.

Thanks for pointing me to the check valve in the pump. I was hoping there was a manual pump somewhere that I had not turned. The trailer was winterized (supposedly) when I bought it on December 23,2011(leess than 6 months ago) however the first time I went to use the trailer in April the clear water filter container broke off at the ring at the top where it screws on; so I suspect that it actually froze sometime over the winter, leading me to think the sticker in the window saying unit has been winterized was not accurate. I already had the dealer pay for the new water filter so maybe the pump froze also and the ruined check valve? The bad thing is the nearest dealer is over an hour and a half from me.

At worse have him send you the replacement parts.
I've had mine do it several times even though I'm only an hour round trip.

I learned something new as well. We are de-winterizing the trailer this weekend so hopefully all goes well.

Water Pump Not Pumping

Recently, our water pump will not pump water. There is water in the tank - not full tho. I can hear the pump running but that's all.

Any ideas what may be the cause of this?

Thanks

I'll try running city water pressure thru the lines, fill the storage tank, disconnect the city water, open a faucet, try running the water pump.
