fresh water tank woes
When we picked up or new trailer, during pdi they showed me the fresh water fill, and drain. The drain has an uncapped house next to it that I was told it's the overflow for the fw tank.
Problem#1: when filling the fw tank, water will begin to drain through the overflow when the tank is only 2/3 full. It will continue to trickle out the overflow for quite some time. This dramatically lessons the amount of fresh water available.
Problem #2: when towering, water continues to drain through the overflow, such that when arriving at campsite there is only 1/4 tank left.
Problem #3: the pump will not pull water when the tank level reaches 1/4. Combined with the above problem, we have no water once we get to the campsite. When pulling the drain plug, several gallons will drain out.
The water tank is enclosed, which makes simple inspection difficult. I am assuming the line from the pump is just not long enough, but the overflow has me stumped. Ideas.
