Question Full Hook-up sites

My DW says this is a crazy question but I gotta ask the experts...

When you are staying at a full hook-up site, do you open the valves to both the gray and black tanks, just open one valve of either tank, or keep both closed until you leave?

Grey open all the time (until our last full day, then I close it)
Black closed ALL the time. You don't want paper and other solids getting caught in the tank. Gravity takes them out when you pull the valve and there is liquid to go with it.

Empty black first, then grey.

I leave both valves to the gray and black tanks closed....When the Black tank is close to getting full I dump it and then dump the gray to clean out the hose....

I leave the black closed, and the grey open. The only time I close the grey is when I'm getting ready to dump the black. I use the grey to "wash out" the hose. On the day of checkout, I close both and run the black tank flush then drain them all. I run the flush a few times on the black tank

Black closed until actually dumping. Gray always open. I run a LOT of water through the black tank flush and use that to clean out my hoses.

My process is to keep gray and black closed until we need to open one/both.

Same here. Protects from a potential grey water mess if the hose becomes disconnected. Think of someone cutting across your site in the dark and stumbling over the hose.

Thanks for the quick replies!!

Thank you for all your quick replies. I will continue my process of keeping both tanks closed until they need to be dumped.
