Question Galley Sink Drain Hose Rubbing

Hi,

We have a 2015 Rockwood 2318G trailer and this year we developed a tear in our drainhose (Flexaust) hose that leaked down under the refrigerator.

Best I can tell the tear developed by rubbing against that thin plywood underneath that sink (see attachment). I had someone lift the galley sink up and watched and there is definitely friction against the two sides of the opening.

I've thought about using a drill to weaken one of the sides (but not punch through) the plywood and remove a 1/2" or so. Maybe also a Dremel tool.

What are some ways that I can fix that preferrably without taking the sink out?

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. You could cut some of it out however the problem of rubbing is because of the small edge of the plywood. You might consider getting some auto trim for door edges and slip that over the plywood to protect the drain.

Cheap pipe insulation form a big box builder supply store. Get the type that is pre-split, cut a couple of short pieces and place them over the edge of the plywood.
