Gray water tank and rear axle Puma 19FS

We purchased a 2007 Puma 19FS a couple years ago and have had issue with the gray water tank and plumbing to the discharge port. The fitting where at the tank broke and I had "patched" it multiple times, but on our most recent camping trip the PVC pipe actually broken half right about the rear axle. The tank is between the two axles and the piping goes over the rear axle. I noticed that the gray tank wasn't the original. I had the tank and piping replaced this week, so I am on at least the third tank. What I am wondering now is how likely is it that the design and placement is flawed? It really looks like the axle could be hitting the pipe. That would explain the issues. I think I need to figure out how to mount a rubber bumper over the center of the leaf spring to limit how much travel is allowed. Has anyone had such an issue or installed a bumper like this? We are camping again next week and if I have no solution I could just be throwing away $1k in repairs in one two hour drive if I do not do something.
