H2O pump cavitates

Most of our camping is done “dry camping” so we use the water tank much of the time. The camper (and water pump) is only 1 year old. This year we’ve used the camper 12 nights and the water pump is acting up. We have plenty of water, but the water pump ‘cavatates’ sometimes when we use the fixtures. Sometimes the pump runs when we faintish using the water fixtures. There is no rhyme nor reason to this occurrence. Again – plenty of water in the tank….

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

GL

Hope this helps.

I ran into this type of problem while camping at Twin Lakes CG. in Colo. A camper came over to our site and indicated he had a camper of the same make as ours and said he had a full tank of fresh water, but the pump would not pick up any water to his faucets. I went over to his site and found the clear filter bowl on the pump was loose. After hand tightning the bowl and opening a faucet to releave the air, the pump primed and his problem was fixed. Good luck, Tom-s
