Hand Spray Or Not?

Ok, ready to upgrade the Dometic 300 to the 320 and wondering if I should get with or without the hand spray. Current 300 doesn't have one and think another place for a water leak is a no-no.

Also, if hand spray is needed would it be better to just plumb one in as opposed to having it part of the toilet valve?

Would like to hear your opinions and/or ideas.

Have never needed a hand spray for a toilet. Can't say I would use it if available. Some folks go to great lengths to have one.
Another potential leak source shouldn't be a decision factor. What's one more
Let us know what you decide and why.

IIRC the 320 is slightly larger than the 300. Make sure you have the clearance you need especially behind it. The critical distance is usually the center of the hole to the back of the toilet.

What Flybob said.

Measure several times, the distance from the center if the hole to the back wall.

If I replace I will go with the hand spray. Chasing stuck Toilet paper is a PITA.

When I looked into adding a hand sprayer to ours it wasn't going to be easy. So if you want a hand sprayer get the one with it.

I think the 320 has an elongated bowl which appeals to those of us gifted with a more generous girth. Also it will accept a STD replacement toilet seat.

Never had a hand sprayer and never took a dump and said... "Gee, I wish I had a hand sprayer."

Use plenty of water and I don't see a need. But it is YOUR choice. Go for it if you want one.

Have lived in the RV for 2 years with a hand spray and never use it. No problem with leaks.

I had to change my water line for my 320 . Be ready for that . A much better toilet for comfort . Forget the hand held spray . Never used it on our old toilet , just make sure to measure so the 320 will fit..

Making life easeir

Get the toilet that has the hand sprayer built in that way it has no pressure on it unless you flush the toilet. The sprayer is one of those items that makes life a littler easier! The people that don't use sprayers must have another way to clean the toilet. To me the sprayer is the easy way to clean the bowl when needed.

We clean the toilet the same we do at the stick and brick house. No magic. I think a sprayer would be fine if it came OEM, but I wouldn't add one.

With!

Makes cleanup a breeze and will not waste water when dry camping. A short spray down will get the bowl ready for the next person very quickly.

I have installed a spray wand in every camper I have owned. Once you have one, you will wonder how you ever got along without one.

I found the pressure drop from trying to use it while the flush valve is open, too excessive. I plumbed all mine to use direct pressure.

Plus I can use the wand to add water to the bowl if solids are anticipated.
