Heated holding Tanks ?

Hi, I have Heated holding tanks and I have a few ? First can you turn them on if they are empty? Next is the fresh water tank heated also? The reason I ask is its supposed to drop below 30 tonight and I was thinking of turning the furnace on low along with the hot water heater and the tank heaters its only gonna last one night so don't really want to drain down the system. the grey and black are empty but the fresh water has water in it. Thanks for any input

30 might put some ice on a puddle it will not freeze your tanks.

We also have heated tanks and yes you can turn them on empty. I did some online research and also talked with the service department at our local dealer.

the turn of at like 60 deg (at the tank) and so should NOT melt anything if there is not a nuclear runaway.
