Help no hot water, camping right now

Can someone help me. I cannot get the tank to start (propane or electric) I have a pic attached. Can someone tell me how these valves should be?

Anyone know why there is a valve between the red and blue??

Your valves look right.. The one on the right is the hot water tank bypass and should be closed when camping. It is used to winterize your RV..
The bottom one is the cold water inlet and the top is the hot water outlet.. Both need to open during normal use, which they appear to be..

Are you hearing water entering the tank with your pump on and city connection? Is it just not making hot water at all? Luke warm water? No water at all?

The valves shown are correct to get hot water flow. If you turn all the valves 90į they will be in the bypass mode to add antifreeze for winterizing.

Make sure you have a full water heater tank by flipping the pressure relief valve at the top of the water heater. There is a 110V switch on the lower lh side of the compartment. As for the propane side, open the propane tank valve slowly and then go light the stove burners to help purge the air out of the lines. Next step is go to the control panel and turn the water heater DSI switch to on. You will hear the water heater trying to light. IF after it tries 3 times without lighting, you have to turn the switch of and then on again and it will repeat trying 3 times...

All set. Thanks all. The bypass I turned to the position you see in the pic. And the propane started right up.

I'm going to use electric now to save propane.

What was weird was we had hot water yesterday with that bypass open..

You will get hot water with the center valve turned on. The problem is that you will be mixing hot and cold water and will get warm water . This is no different than turning on both hot and cold water at faucet to mix them.
