We r dry camping when trying to use water the pump is running but just spits water out here and there it's the first time we use it and I think it is air locked and can't get primed. Can u purge the system if so how all comment and suggestions welcome

Make sure the short suction hose attached to the pump suction is closed, used to add antifreeze during winterize. Open HW heater relief valve located under outside heater access panel. It must fill with water before the sputtering will end.

Make sure that the (Winterizing Valve) is turned to F/W Tank. Check that the little (Pre filter screen Cap) is tight, this is also located on the (Suction) side of the pump. Your pump might still be filling the (Filter) and the (Water Heater) this takes about (7 GAL). Youroo!!

Crack open a sink faucet, turn on pump and go outside and listen for it! Most likely in a front compartment or in the kitchen sink cab.

I thought mine had damage from cold winter as it would run but never built pressure. ..just ran and ran.....after taking it ALL apart I finally realized it needed a prime to get flowing. ..never did the 2 yrs before tho....I used the short winterizing hose to put water in till the removable filter was full then it FINALLY started sucking from the hose

sent from fat fingers via a space dish thing with no regard to grammer.

I had the same thing happen when we were dry camping last weekend. The pump ran and ran and didn't stop. I opened a faucet a couple times and turned the pump on and off a few times and it went back to normal. Maybe it was a airlock? Everything's working now!

Thanks everyone for all advice. It is working fine now. I located the pump and there was the valve right next to it. The wife is able to take showers so I'm able to live a little while longer. LOL! THANKS AGAIN!!!
