help with hot water heater question.

I left my camper this morning, and forgot to shut off the hot water heater switch. I shut off the propane, but am wondering if it will keep trying to lite and burn out my switch?

I don't think so. After so many attempts to light, it should quit and the reset light would come on at your switch.

It shouldn't hurt anything. After 3 or 4 attempts to light, the water heater control board will illuminate the "on" light, and you will have to turn it of for 5 seconds, then back on to give it a "reset" At least that is how mine works.
