help with the hot water- Solved

Hi.
My V-Lite hot water tank is giving me a second of hot water then goes lukewarm. The trailer is new so it's the first time trying the tank. I started with the electric a couple of times then tried the gas, but it doesn't start.
What might I be missing?

Have you checked the bypass valves? They're probably still in bypass. They are located behind the water heater and you may need to remove a panel to access them.

If it won't start on gas you may need to purge the lines. Ensure gas is on, go inside and turn on a stove top eye while trying light it with a lighter. Once it starts try to start the gas on the water heater again.

Did you have a PDI? They should have shown you how it works.

Not a lot to go on.

What make is your water heater?
Is the water heater full? (can you open the relief valve and water comes out)
If it does, is the water hot?
What do your bypass valves look like (if installed)? 3 valves? 2? 1? none?
Is the AC circuit breaker closed?
High limit reset buttons in?
Does the gas fire?

Thank you all. I discovered I had three valves hidden away behind the unit and the one I missed(the bi-pass) was tucked to one side a bit, thanks Len. Every thing else was good Lou. All is right with the world again.
On the PDI, my wife and I had graduated up from a Pop-up so we took the "Cliff Notes" vertion. Now we know better. Happy trails and thanks again for the timely help.
