Hose to Water Pump

The hose to the water pump, is this RV only or does Home Depot carry hose this type for potable water?

Home Depot and others. Look for a white hose that says it's for potable water.

Wait... I might have answered a different question. Do you have a picture of what you're talking about?

Keep in mind that part of the reason it's on the side is to keep silt and sediment that settles out of the hose (or so I've read).

I've used clear vinyl tubing before for various projects. But basically, you're looking for tubing that is for potable water.

Looks like a reinforced vinyl tube. You shouldn't have any issue finding that at the Depot.

Try Lowes; they always build right next door to Home Depot.

Not for me. 2 towns over next to the next home depot. So I went to my local ace. They didn't have food grade, but he suggested an rv hose. I figure I can cut my useless 10 footer up. But at $16, I rather get a 5/8 Neverkink to mach the 25 footet I had. But, for $5, they had a 4 footer, made down the road, RV and Marine drinking water. So, cut the end off I don't need, cut what I need, and the other end will be my fill hose for my gravity fill.

Not sure I would keep that as permanent. Having seen those white hoses bulge, I would not trust it not to fail under pressure (like a hot camper).

Get the correct vinyl reinforced hose as soon as possible (even a washing machine hose is nothing else.

It is the suction hose. Vacuum, no pressure.

If they bulge, they might also collapse.
Just check to make sure before you close it up.
