hot water

We have just recently bought a 2010 PUMA fbs and we are having some hot water issues. If we are tapped into the campsite source of water, we aren't getting any hot water. What can we do to fix this? Does our interior tank need to be filled to get hot water? Any help would be appreciated...we're new at this!

It's difficult to understand how the problem you're having can happen. Here's a piping schematic of a typical RV water system and you'll see what I mean. The only thing that would make sense is, if on city water connection, you don't get water anywhere in the camper...that would be a faulty check valve at the city water connection.

Are you saying you are getting water at a sink when you turn on the hot water, but it just is not hot? Or are you saying you get no flow from a tap when you turn on the hot water?

Your question sort of implies that the hot water has worked properly since buying this (new to you) unit at other times, like when using the fresh water tank. If not, have you checked to see if there is water in your hot water heater?
