Hot water issues
After heating the water tank with propane, I switched over to electric heater. The water failed to stay hot/luke warm. Cannot find any threads that address this particular issue. Nor can I find it in the manufacturers instruction book.
Model: 2017 Rockwood Mini
Any insight will be appreciated...

Did you check voltage to the heater? Thermostat? Element? Need more info as to what you have done or can do.

... and we need to know if the heater was manufactured by Atwood or Suburban (or some other). A water heater model number would help the experts, also. Thanks.

Did you turn the black rocker switch on the WH, accessed from outside hatch?
Make sure there's water in the WH, before you turn it on.

I would suggest first checking the circuit breaker to the electric heating element, in your RV's electrical distribution panel. If it's ON, and not tripped then...
.... see if you can access the back of the water heater to make sure the water heater is connected to an outlet or direct wired to a junction box. We have seen many new RV's that the are just simply not plugged in.
If you have the Suburban SWDE or SWDEL model water heater, this FAQ may help:

Just learned something! I've been using electric only when camping which brings up a question. Don't mean to hijack, just a quickie. I was plugged in with the 30 amp using the AC. Turned on the electric water heater and the fuse at the pole tripped. This happened repeatedly and I finally used my 50 amp bone to plug my 30 amp into it. No more issues. Is that a bad idea? I know now that I should just use propane in that situation.
Thanks as always! Mine is a suburban heater

Thank you all
Thank you all for your insight. I will check the switches tomorrow when we get to our campsite. I will also check the breakers. This newbie is still learning his camping legs. I will post as to what I did once I get it to work...

My comfort level with operating my brother's TT is through the roof! He's asked for me to teach him when he picks it up. That will be the day we go buy our own and I will be so ready thanks to this forum

Also check to be sure it is both an electric and a propane water heater.
I thought I had read that some of those mini's were propane only.
Maybe older ones?

Glad you got it figured out and came back to let us know. That will help others that are having the same issues.
Oh, and welcome to the wonderful world of camping.
