Yes, and have a trailer wired by one or two or three or maybe more.

I guess they could have connected both wires to the same terminal.

Your tank is running on 12VDC, that's why it's stayed hot until your battery died. Took 3 days to cool. I would guess that someone installed it wrong. When you plugged back into shore power, it started right back up again. Your Electric on off switch could have corroded. Get some electrical contact spray and just spray the heck out of it, switching it on and off a dozen times or so.

The electric side is 110v only and the 12v is only used with the propane which according to the OP he had shut both tanks off.

They often have 3 terminal . Hey I seen stories where Amish carry cell phones in their britches.

The phone or NO C NC contacts ? We're camping FT in Lancaster PA. They have horse carts in all three home garages. Pretty amazing lifestyle.
