Ok I've got a gas water heater with water in it and pilot lit not getting hot. What do I need to fix? I don't know the first thing about hot water heaters. Any help would be appreciated.

probably the WH bypass valve is in the on position.
was the trailer winterized? if so, check the bypass valve.

Check the valve on the line between your cold line into the heater and the hot water line out. This is open during the winterizing process while the other two are closed. If it is still open after your dewinterized--cold water is blending into your hot water coming out of the tank.
