Over time the wall attachment will cause problems. My wife purchased a small wicker basket (holds 4 rolls) and fits perfectly out of the way right beside the toilet.... easy access too! lol

You got a TP holder? I'm jealous mine came with nothing. I bought a wood model to match cabinet in toilet room and mounted to the bottom of the towel cabinet. It is just right you can't see it until your sitting on the toilet.

We too have a holder that hangs over the lower cabinet door. It is convenient and doesn't interfere with anything. We have the Shamrock 23IKSS

Toggle bolts. Bigger hole through the wall but they hold.

The vanity in our bathroom has an open shelf immediately below the counter. I mounted the TP holder inside that space. The screws went into the side wall of the cabinet, not the wall of the bathroom. In that position it's out of the way and protected from splashes from the shower it sink. If I ever choose to move it the remaining screw holes will be out of sight under the counter.

We mounted our toilet paper holder to the inside cabinet door under the sink. When needed and still sitting, open the door and there is the paper. When not needed the door is closed and paper is out of the way.

Fastened ours on the back of the vanity door. Just open the door for service. Out of the way when closed.

We purchased an "over the tank" toilet paper holder at Lowes. The size is perfect to fit over the vanity door. I am lining the bracket with felt backing to prevent damage to the vanity. We slip it on when we set up camp and stow it at the end of the trip. Our Shamrock 23ikss does not have a lot of free wall space.

We have a chrome one from Lowe's that hangs over the lower cabinet door, only $3.99. It doesn't get in the way. But, I'm still looking at the one for $181.00!!! OMG, for a toilet paper holder???

That's a good place too, might try that for next trip. When the grandkids stay with us I think the outside works better for them, they are only 41/2 and 6. At least we have them throwing the paper in the waste basket, Mexican style disposal.

Why, or, as opposed to what?

As opposed to throwing it in the toilet. Eliminated a lot of problems down stream.

Old Coot is right. A friend told us of that to eliminate future problems. We always did that when at friend's homes in Mexico and never saw a problem. I know some people might think it gross, but it works for us. Maybe that could keep us from getting false readings on the black tank sensors.

We used rivet gun and rivets on our hollow wall to hang towell rack and toilet paper roll. No problems after two years of use yet anyway.

It's common practice in countries where the sewage disposal system is less robust.
Get a small covered trash can to reduce the gross-out factor. Use plastic bag liners, of course.
