An app for Forest River! Awesome (now considered an overused term!)! I will definitely use them (found out there are actually two Forest River apps). Thanks Fonzie for your picture and confirming my thoughts that the pictured hose is for winterizing.

Question: can I use that hose to fill my fresh water tanks from water jugs? Or will it only work in winterizing bypass mode?

If it's a dedicated winterization antifreeze input hose it is in parallel with the holding tank input to the water pump. In other words, it's one or the other, so no, cannot directly use to fill water tank. I have read that some individuals have modified their systems and plumbed the outdoor shower to do what you are asking.

Is my hose for overflow or winterizing?

Depending on your setup, yes it can be used to fill your fresh water tank. I use mine to fill my tank all the time.

You ask how? If you have an outside shower right by your fresh water tank fill connection, you can connect your outside shower hose (may need to take the shower head off and get an adapter) the put the anti-frees hose in your water jug as if you are winterizing your unit, turn the pimp on, then open your outdoor shower valve. The water will flow from just through system as if winterizing the outdoor shower then back through the tank fill and into the fresh water tank.

If a picture would help let me know and I can take some later today and post.

A picture would be great! I am a very visually oriented person. Now I am getting excited about this! Sounds simple and inexpensive!

Will I close the bypass valves as in winterizing or leave them open like in normal use?

Doesn't really matter for by pass valves in this case but if water heater is empty, the bypass valves being closed will fill it faster other wise it will want to fill the water heater first.
